Creamy Marinara Garlic & Herb Chicken with Aged Cheddar Orzo Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup aged cheddar + extra for sprinkling on top
  • 1 Steam Gourmet Garlic & Herb seasoning & parchment packet
  • 2 cups cooked orzo pasta

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees farenheit.
  2. Place mascarpone cheese in a microwave safe bowl and melt for about 30 seconds until softened. Mix with marinara sauce of your choice with a fork until fully combined.
  3. Place about 1/2 cup of the sauce on a plate and set aside.
  4. Slice halfway through your chicken making a crease big enough to stuff in cheese. Stuff in as much of your aged cheddar as you can then seal closed.
  5. Dredge each side of the chicken breast into the 1/2 cup of sauce and evenly season with garlic & herb seasoning. Place the chicken breasts into your parchment steam packet, fold and seal shut.
  6. Bake chicken in the oven for 35 minutes. Once done baking, allow to rest for 5 minutes. Mix the rest of your sauce, aged cheddar and orzo pasta together then serve with the chicken. Enjoy!

Makes 2-4 servings.
