Chocolate Chai Tea Milkshakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk (any milk works)
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 2 large, overripe, FROZEN bananas*
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sweetner of choice (maple syrup, brown sugar, etc)

Instructions

  1. In a small pot heat your almond milk over the stove until it just comes to a boil. Remove from heat and place your tea bags in the milk to brew.
  2. Place the milk in the refrigerator, with the tea bags, to chill for 3 hours or let sit overnight.
  3. Remove tea bags from milk and blend bananas with chai milk in a high powered blender until a creamy consistency forms. This may take about 3-4 minutes depending on your blender.
  4. Add in the rest of your ingredients and blend until smooth. The shake should be thick and creamy, and not super liquidy.
  5. Serve immediatley and garnish with shaved chocolate, granola, whip cream (yum) or toppings of choice!

Notes

Make sure your bananas are large and overripe. If using medium sized bananas, I reccomend using 3. Before freezing your bananas I reccomend cutting them into small pieces to making the blending process easier!
