Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk (any milk works)
- 2 chai tea bags
- 2 large, overripe, FROZEN bananas*
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp sweetner of choice (maple syrup, brown sugar, etc)
Instructions
- In a small pot heat your almond milk over the stove until it just comes to a boil. Remove from heat and place your tea bags in the milk to brew.
- Place the milk in the refrigerator, with the tea bags, to chill for 3 hours or let sit overnight.
- Remove tea bags from milk and blend bananas with chai milk in a high powered blender until a creamy consistency forms. This may take about 3-4 minutes depending on your blender.
- Add in the rest of your ingredients and blend until smooth. The shake should be thick and creamy, and not super liquidy.
- Serve immediatley and garnish with shaved chocolate, granola, whip cream (yum) or toppings of choice!
Notes
Make sure your bananas are large and overripe. If using medium sized bananas, I reccomend using 3. Before freezing your bananas I reccomend cutting them into small pieces to making the blending process easier!
