I really like smoothies. Like alottalot.

They’re my go-to snack after a workout or occasionally will make it into the breakfast rotation when I’m in the need for something refreshing. Or my night before was a little too much pizza-wine-icecream splurge sesh.
Drinking a fruity smoothie makes me feel 10 times healthier about life. My body feels good and I begin to crave that energetic-happy vibe on a daily basis. It’s like I get high off health or something.

Usually my post workout smoothie involves protein powder and lately I have been enjoying Vega. This particular recipe has greek yogurt instead as an all natural protein source. Trust me, it’s delish and super refreshing.
After finishing up a Spring break consisting of all the food, wine and frozen drinks I was in need of a good pick-me-up. The easiest way to get back on track is to eat the real stuff. And by this I mean real food.

Enter—> Strawberries, Raspberries, Bananas, Spinach, Flaxseed, Greek Yogurt, Cashew Milk all blended into smoothie deliciousness. So simple yet so freaking perfect. Especially during this spring time lovin.
Oh and the granola toppings are not optional. Doesn’t matter what the situation, all my smoothies get a crunchy topping. It’s a fact of life at this point.
While we’re on the topic of drinks, you should know I landed my dream job working at a winery here in San Luis Obispo. Basically I get to talk to people about wine, food and more wine all day long. Someone please pinch me because I’m living a dream full of pinot noir and fruity smoothies.
